Thanks to the Friends of the Spring Lake Five, LLC, and Spring Lake 5 Mile Run, a limited number of entries are donated to and available through charitable organizations.
In 2022, our Charity Partners were able to raise nearly $100,000 for their individual causes, with more than $1,300,000 raised since the inception of the Charity Partner Program in 2007.
We ask that runners contact the charities directly – runners are asked to raise a set amount in pledges for the charity. All the money raised will be given to the charity; checks are written directly and mailed directly to the charity, not through the Spring Lake 5 Mile Run.
In addition to the Charity Partner Program, the Friends of the Spring Lake Five donates to many community organizations. Your participation allows us to maintain strong local
recreation programs and donate our net proceeds to many worthy charitable organizations. In the past 20 years, over $2,690,00 has been donated to many groups including those listed below:

The 2024 Friends of the Spring Lake Five Scholarship is open to 2024 High School graduates who are permanent residents of Spring Lake, Belmar, Avon, Spring Lake Heights, Manasquan, Sea Girt or Brielle. Application deadline is May 1 , 2024. Winners will be notified in early June.
The Scholarship will be awarded to 3 Applicants who meet the following criteria:
-Must reside in Spring Lake, Belmar, Avon, Spring Lake Heights, Manasquan, Sea Girt or Brielle.
-Must be graduating high school in June 2023.
-Must provide your school transcript and show acceptance letter from a 2-year or a 4-year college.
-Must have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or above.
